This particular project would not allow the use of tiebacks.  McGee Mobile Crane Incorporated (MMCI) designed a shoring system using predrilled and set in place steel piles, wood lagging and Rakers with concrete heel blocks to complete the project.

Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Project

EADS Road Ramp I-495 in Arlington, Virginia

McGee Mobile Crane Incorporated (MMCI) designed  this project using drilled soldier piles and lagging system with both tiebacks and bracing.   A large portion of our scope of work for this project was within the Zone of Influence for underground Washington Metro Transit Authority (WMATA) and carried out in various phases from 2014 through 2016.

MDOT Project at Intersection  of Cedar Lane and MD 355 (Rockville Pike)

in Bethesda, Maryland

Due to Limit of Disturbance (LOD) restrictions, this project could only be designed as a cantilevered shoring system.  McGee Mobile Crane Incorporated (MMCI) designed and installed a 320 feet long wall with cuts ranging from 6 to 20 feet using wide flange steel piles and wood lagging to support a permanent block face retaining wall.
